Haha. The stupidity of society never fails to amuse me. I know exactly what you mean. Most would presume that since I live in California, that Hollywood is something almost Holy like, but I'm telling you everything around us (media, music, TV) is one hundred percent shit (gavno). I went to a Russian video store last night and got some vintage tapes on Troe Protev Vce (old drama series) but so far (six hours into the night) its not bad. I liked Brigada, but it has the same EXACT formula as Krot...(forgot other crappy mafia names of films)...the Slavs/Armenians/Chernoi Jopi are crazy for the mob image here. Its pathetic. I loved Brat (Brother) with Sergei Bodrov, but neh no more series since he passed away. Though I didn't see the Corpse Bride (I don't watch cartoon-ish stuff)...I'll think about seeing it since you regard it so well.

Haha. Dnevnoy Dozor. I'll check it out as well. I wonna know what makes you type so insanely. Hehe. Argh. Another Survivor rerun tonight along with Lost, Simpsons, and the other crap.

Brigada... ))))) Yes.. In some part of society.. It was really popular about 2-3 years ago.. Since that it was retranslated (or how.. showed on TV) about 10 times It's a big film with many series.

Cool movies.. OK, let me think... No need to think - it's a Day Watch (Dnevnoy Dozor) - 2nd part of Lukiyanenko trilogy. And my opinion on this: it's a full SHITTTTT. I HATE IT. I watched it once and it was horable.. Why? Ok.. Maybe there are many beutiful visual effects, but behind tehm there is just NOTHING. The scenario.. I don't like it.. Music.. The same situation.. It's just "hollywood"-like film with a set of candy-effects.. Nothing else...

BUT IT'S VERY POPULAR! "People eat" ("Ludi havayut" - slang). Some people watch the movie in the theatre, go out and buy another ticket to watch it again..And again.. WHAT'S GOING ON?!! I can explain it only in this way: huge promotion campaign.

I watched Corpse Bride last monday. That is a real FILM. I like everything. Story. Music. Jokes. I've got only good feeling after it. And all my friends too. It could be a little longer but nah.. it's one of the best films i watched this year.. But it's not popular.. Stupid stupid scinema administrators..

Month or two ago there was a TV-film based on Bulgakov's "Master And Margarita".. It was popular.. It was quite nice. But actors was ... mm.. V obshem, it could be much better

I heard that Sergei Bezrukov (Brigada) is pretty big right now in popularity. Just wondering since the Hollywood movies are ssooo boring.

Vce normalno poka...HAHAHAHA--like in the tropics? Gosh, then California must be the Saharian desert, over here we're being cooked alive. It's slightly breezy today (60F) compared to our typical mid-seventies (70F). Yah, we already have oranges, blueberries, lemons, and HUGE flowers blooming (I have some fotki). It's ridiculous and its only mid-February. I want COLD, RAIN, WIND, THUNDER, FOG...WINTER NOW! Dammit.

Just writing some new philosophy essays about psycology/sociology/etc. Boring topics in long compilicated words about how stupid people really are. Also sketching crappy Cheburashka on my notepad.

Everything (mm.. almost everything) is perfect. The temperature is rising - today it's just -10 degrees (Celsium) - "like in tropics" My holidays ended, now just lessons in the institute and Olimpics!!! Spring is comming!!! ))

In and out here, watched a rerun of Brat. Still a great movie although I cannot stand the whole Russian guys in leather/adida suits with Benz's Mafia genre that Slavs are so crazy about nowadays. Eh, oh well.

Mmm... I don't know English is the second language in each school in Moscow (the third is German or French, but is optional and not in all schools). And i think there is a same situation in other big cities.. But i can't say i know it well. I understand what others say, but it's still quite hard for me to say something.

By the way, how do you know how to speak English so well? Is English courses mandatory over there in Moskva or just the entire nation? Heh most times I have a online translater on hand for all the fancy vocabulary in Russian...tsk tsk...but poka. Added you on my watch as well.

Спасибо...I was wondering if I truly was the only Russian on this site, but apparently not so. It's like a little E-Russiya over here. How is Moskva? Though I'm not from that region, at times I just wonder about Russia itself. I'm from the Chernoya Morya region of Krasnodar/Kropotkin...hmm still haven't found anyone from that region either. Anyways poka Sergei...also a note...damn those are some kick ass deviations! How do you guys manipulate the digital art?
